I think this is a way of writer repaying Ash after did him dirty all these years. He was suppose to win some league such as in Sinnoh or Kalos, many fans wanted him to catch some specific pokemon. Well this series granted all the fans wishes!! Ash now have Dragonite and Gengar, Ash now have Mega Lucario he was basically the first person known to have Mega, Giga and Z-moves.

Not to mention Dawn, Gary coming back, and some previous old character return before. This series is truly the best. One minute silence for those who miss all these hypeness because they drop the series due to Goh

You can't blame them, Goh stole some of Ash moments in this series, for here we are, Mega Evolve. When I saw that big Aura Sphere I somehow remember Ash-Greninja big Water Shuriken (yes again).

Some people saying in previous episode that Ash should use Gengar and Dragonite instead of Pikachu and Sirfetch'd. True using any of those might result in easier victory, but this is Ash. Fight air with air, fight fire with fire, fight fighting with fighting, and Bea beat Pikachu before so maybe Ash want to repay her by using same pokemon just like when Ash VS Paul. The fight itself was lit so I have no complaint

Hopefully Sirfetch'd has a redemption battle where it learns Meteor Assualt its Signature move.

Yeah, even with this rematch battle, Sirfetch'd still lost! That's just doing him dirty even with his redemption episode and evolving! ^^; Hopefully there's an episode where he once more redeems and learns Meteor Assult like you said

Well, Ash is also making his champions learn. These fights are not knockout batles. And thus while using Gengar and Dragonite would have made his victory easier, his poekmons wouldnt have gotten the chance to improve by fighting tough battles.

This season is truly worthy of a high praise, well I wouldn’t say it was flawless, but I certainly enjoy both Ash and Goh, yes I enjoy Goh, it’s not a lie

My likes for Goh would be
1. We get to see a NEW main character from their start, since we got the same main for 25+ years
2. The Pokémon he catches are a lot of ones we wouldn’t see much after their debut season, seriously, when was the last time you see a goldeen and flygon in a season with more than 3 appearence, thx to Goh, we get to see them chilling in Sakuragi Park, which hasn’t shown in the episode for some time now
3. He has Cinderace, simple as that, I admit, back before Pokemon (2019) anime was announced, I was hoping Ash was the one who gets Scorbunny, but then they announce a new main protagonist and pair him with my Bunny, a little soul crashing, yes, but it was nothing like Ash’s Kalos lost killing my soul, and I was the few person who decided to like Sun and Moon season since the start- since we saw Ash’s redesign, so I was quick to accept Goh having my fiery Bunny

Unexpectedly typed a lot, and I can tell people will disagree with me behind their keyboards now, buuuut I’m just really let lose after the Kalos league, and just enjoy whatever(mostly) what Pokemon has to give us

Ash just might really be the very best like no one ever was in this series.

I was one who dropped the series three episodes prior to this because of Goh, but now I’ve decided to finish the Pokémon anime once and for all, especially since he’s made it to the top 8.

The same reason I started pokemon journey again after dropping it

Man that was pretty good, I like that they created the excuse for Ash not using Dragonite though that didn't really matter much since Lucario basically stole the show lol. Animation was pretty cool, could've been better but was still awesome to see Ash utilizing a Lucario to it's potential.
I'm hoping Raihan will be Ash's next opponent before Cynthia, feel it'd be lack luster if Ash beats Cynthia, then Raihan, Lance, then whoever else if they include before Leon.

I was hoping for all the champions from all regions to make an appearance and participate.

The lance fight will get me incredibly hype. Can;t wait for that one.

Yeah lance been so long anime + games. Hope we see just long battle not lame 1 vs 1 like first episodes lance vs leon was joke imo. championship match and it was 1vs1 :D lance didint even use dragonite. I also hope we see sabrina soon. My favorite kanto gym leader and she prob strongest leader in kanto, so kinda lame if she arent top 20. (back in days most kanto gym matches was such joke sadly)

True, but whether he's aware of it or not, he's trying to beat her with Fighting Pokemon that have disadvantages against her Fighting types. So he's either being ignorant or stubborn. And if you want to be stubborn, your Pokemon better be tough enough to overcome those disadvantages. One couldn't. So if you fight an uphill battle and win, great. But when you lose, at least it's obvious what you did wrong, I guess...

If one of those disadvantageous matchups you're talking about is Sirfetch'd vs. Hawlucha, it's not like that's the Pokemon Ash originally sent it out against. He sent it out against Machamp, and Sirfetch'd, with its longer range and shield to block Machamp's flurry of punches, was actually well suited to fight it. Ash just chose to let things play out when Bea switched for Hawlucha rather than him switching yet again. Plus, he probably also wanted to give Sirfetch'd a chance at revenge, which just didn't pan out.

Finally after so many years Ash has Mega evolve. lol

Lucario is gotten pretty OP after Mega. Aura sphere is much bigger than what Korri Lucario.
I guess different trainer have different Aura that boost Aura of the Pokemon power.

He learn Steel beam a new move from sw-sh game. Was nice and also he finally have a steel type move.

YEs the animator really did a great job here, the long waited Mega Evolve is worth it

WOW the animation here, SO good! Mega Lucario vs Dyna Machamp felt like something straight out of Asura's Wrath in anime form tbh (those who've played that will know what I mean). Or if you want another comparison, a "good" Dragon Ball fight.

Pikachu's Iron Tail and Quick Attack combo was freaking genius too honestly (I mean yeah, it was a "quick anime thought" kinda thing, but still though).

Sirfetch'd I was pretty disappointed about though. He put up a really nice fight (with again, good animation to boot), but ended up going down too quickly tbh (I get time constraints, but still, c'mon).

Overall though, a great battle. I genuinely cannot wait to see what Ash's future battles look like with Lance, Cynthia, etc. HOPEFULLY they don't pad the anime out TOO much before the times come though.

To be honest, I think even the filler episodes are pretty nice to watch so i wouldn't mind much. That episode with the girl and her departed pokemon was great for example. Even the Go focused episodes aren't bad, despite what people might say.

I Gigantimax V Mega Evolution battle is something I did not know I needed, but this was pretty sick. It's pretty cool seeing Ash whip out Z-Moves, Gigantimax Evos and now a Mega Lucario all in the same series. I still think it should have been Charzard that got the mega, but can't argue with how strong Ash's team currently is. He;s never had a team with this many powerhouses. Gengar, Lucario, Dragonite, Sirfetch'd. Wild time

Man this episode was nice. Been a while since i got excited for a pokemon match, lucario match was awesome basically stole this episode. For me this was third battle in this season that got me excited. And also seeing lucario and ash doing same move at a time reminded me of greyninja. Well this is one of a decent episode of this season

I wonder if Ash is legitimately doing the Bond Phenomenon with his other Pokemon now, just without a unique Battle Bond form. Back during his battle with Volkner, there was a part where Pikachu got hit by Electivire's Wild Charge and Ash seemed to feel pain too, and here, Ash was moving in sync with Lucario just like he did with Ash-Greninja.

I'm guessing it's only with Pokemon he's formed the closest bonds with? Like Greninja, the only Pokemon that's shown to be spiritually linked with Ash are Pikachu and Lucario. Lucario is a special case too because it was shown from the very start that they were able to sense each other when Riolu was just an egg. :) So they definitely are living up to the hype with Ash having Lucario being such an ultimate combo!
